Dr. BS Ajai Kumar
Designation: Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, HCG
Dr. BS Ajaikumar is the Chairman and CEO of HCG. He founded HCG to realize his vision of making advanced cancer care accessible to all. He has been the driving force behind HCG’s growth since inception. He has served as the CEO since 2005.
Dr. Ajaikumar’s contribution to the field of cancer care in India as well as his successes as a first generation physician entrepreneur has been widely recognized. He has been awarded the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the CII Regional Emerging Entrepreneurs Award, and the BC Roy Award by the Indian Science Monitor. He is also a recipient of the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award.
Dr. Ajaikumar has been a practicing oncologist in the US and India for over three decades. He completed his residency training in Radiotherapy from the MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute of the University of Texas, and his residency training in Oncology from the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville. He received his MBBS from the St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore.

Anjali Ajaikumar is the Vice President, Strategy & Quality at HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited (HCG). With over 10 years of work experience in the healthcare ecosystem, she learned the ropes in setting up and running of hospitals. She then moved on to strategic growth planning and quality implementation for multiple centers of HCG. She is responsible for key internal strategic initiatives for the HCG group. In addition to strategy she also oversees the departments of Quality, Clinical Excellence and Nursing for the HCG group.
Anjali completed her MBA at Babson College, Massachusetts, the top ranked college in the world for Entrepreneurship. Additionally, she is actively involved with two non-profit initiatives: The first being the HCG Foundation which creates awareness, educational programs and raises funds for cancer patients that are financially challenged. The second the International Human Development & Upliftment Academy which is actively involved in alleviating rural illiteracy, empowering women and creating environmental awareness.
Designation: Head - Corporate Development & Investor Relations, HCG
Niraj Didwania heads the corporate development and investor relations function at HCG and was part of the team responsible in successfully taking the company public in the Company's IPO last year. Prior to joining HCG, Niraj was working as an investment banker in Kotak Investment Bank. Niraj, with combined experience over 12 years specializes in venture capital, private equity and cross-border Mergers and Acquisition transactions and has worked in Kotak, ING, UBS investment banks in New York and Mumbai.
Niraj has management degrees in Finance and Marketing and has successfully closed deals in finance, consumer, IT and healthcare industries. Niraj has participated in Investor Conferences in Mumbai, Singapore, London and manages domestic and foreign institutional investors of HCG. As part of Corporate Development, Niraj is responsible for leading and managing new initiatives including domestic and international Joint ventures, partnerships and associations as well as investments in new ventures and start-ups.
Designation: General Sales Manager, Johnson & Johnson Medical
Amrita is a Sales & Marketing professional with 10 years of experience in the healthcare space in India, the Asia-Pacific region and the United States. Her various roles at Johnson & Johnson Medical span across Global Strategic Marketing, Regional (APAC & India) Marketing and Sales Management. Prior to J&J, she worked as a Senior Research Specialist for 2 years at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania on adoptive immunotherapy clinical trials for blood cancer patients.
Amrita has a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing & Organizational Behavior from Carnegie Mellon University.
In addition, she has taken on pro-bono consulting projects for healthcare startups in the US and held multiple volunteering positions to empower women in the workplace and help educate the girl child in India.

Srinivas is an experienced management consulting leader with 20+ years in strategy consulting, business operations, marketing, digital transformation, sales, and technology. His former employers are premier consulting firms like Ernst & Young (EY), Accenture, Gartner, IBM and Capgemini. He brings strong leadership, consulting and cross-cultural business experience curated by living/working with clients and customers across 15+ countries.
He has also built a very close working relationship with the start-up ecosystem over the last 10 + years advising them on various dimensions of their business operations. Srinivas is an alumna of the INSEAD Business School in France. He holds another master’s degree in applied computer science and a bachelor’s degree in science from Bangalore University.

Dr. Pinak Shrikhande

Dr. Pinak leads the HealthQuad team in deal sourcing, clinical evaluation, market understanding, due diligence, and investor relations. He works closely with portfolio company management teams to add tangible operational and strategic value.
Dr. Pinak has over 20 years of experience in critical care medicine, healthcare operations and management. He was previously the director of critical care medicine at Fortis hospitals. He also held senior positions at Lilavati Hospital and Safdarjung Hospital. Currently, he also serves as director of CritiNext, Asia’s largest e-ICU provider.

Sheenu Jhawar is one of the Directors of Apex Hospitals, a family run organisation established in 1994, that now runs three multispecialty hospitals in Rajasthan. She is also a first generation entreprenuer and founded India's first Clinical Governance and Audits' consulting firm-ACE Vision Health Consultants P L in 2004. E & Y recognised it in 2009 as one of the top ten consulting firms in India. Soon, that led to a partnership with a European firm and today work continues to grow beyond geographical boundaries. ACE has also been invited to be a knowledge partner for healthcare audits with one of the most progressive states in India. Sheenu has worked as a clinical auditor with NHS, UK; as a Public Health Consultant to the Rajasthan Govt. under a World Bank project, and with different types of govt. agencies and private hospitals thus amassing a deep understanding of the healthcare system. She is a certified NABH assessor, and a prolific writer and speaker- has been published in the BMJ- South Asia ed., penned a regular column in the national fortnightly Express Healthcare Management of the Indian Express group, and in various other peer reviewed scientific journals. Mr. Ganapati has over 25 years of business leadership experience. He has served as the managing director of Adamas India Pharmaceuticals and as vice president of Adamas Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2007 until 2012. He founded Triesta Sciences, Inc. and served as its chief executive officer from 2002 until 2006. From 1996 to 2002, he worked in the mergers and acquisitions department of Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation. He started his career with the Tata Administrative Services and worked at Tata Industries Limited from 1990 to 1994.

Vijay Chandru had his formal training in Electrical Engineering (BITS, Pilani), in Systems Science and Engineering (UCLA) and in Decision Sciences (MIT, Cambridge). In today’s nomenclature, he would be called an early data scientist. Building on this foundation, he has had over 35 years of experience straddling various geographies, academic environments and industries.
His academic career in teaching and research in computational mathematics was substantially at Purdue University (1982-92) and the Indian Institute of Science since 1992. Chandru is currently an INAE Distinguished Technologist and adjunct visiting professor of interdisciplinary research in Bio-Engineering and in Cyber Physical Systems at the Indian Institute of Science. He is a fellow of the Indian academies of both science and engineering.
As a technology entrepreneur he was one of the inventors of the Simputer® and currently serves as the Founder Director of Strand Life Sciences, both spinoffs from IISc. He was named a Technology Pioneer of the World Economic Forum in 2006 and for contributions to science and society, Professor Chandru was awarded the Hari Om Trust Award from the University Grants Commission in 2003 and the President’s Medal of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS) in 2006. Dr. Naveen Nagar is the vice president, medical services of HCG. He has been with HCG since 2006. He received his MBBS from Bangalore University, his post graduate medical diploma in oto-rhino-laryngology from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and his master’s degree in health administration from the University of New South Wales.
He is experienced in the field of establishment and management of hospitals. Prior to joining HCG, he worked as a resident at Nepean Hospital, Sydney, Australia from 2005 to 2006, as a surgical registrar, Head of Medical Services at Bangalore Institute of Oncology from 2003 to 2005 and as senior resident ENT at Manipal Hospital from 1999 to 2002
Dr. Ramesh Hariharan
Designation: Co-Founder and CEO, Strand
Dr. Ramesh Hariharan is the co-founder and CEO at Strand, and adjunct professor at the Computer Science department of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. At Strand, over the last 15 years, Dr. Ramesh has lead teams building analytical tools for high-throughput molecular profiling; these tools are widely used and have been cited in several thousand publications. More recently, Dr. Ramesh and the team at Strand have been working on technology to make DNA sequencing for genetic disease diagnosis affordable in India. Dr. Ramesh’s research contributions in computer science include fast algorithms for several algorithmic problems. Dr. Ramesh is a recipient of the TR100 Award of Young Innovators by MIT’s Technology Review Magazine and in 2003 received the Global Indus Technovator Award from MIT, instituted to recognize the Top 20 Indian Technology Innovators worldwide.
Dr. Ramesh received his B. Tech from the IIT, Delhi, his Ph. D from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, and subsequently did a postdoc at the Max-Planck Institut fur Informatik in Saarbrucken, Germany.
Dr. Ramesh was recently inducted as a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences. IIT, Delhi recognized him as the Distinguished Alumnus for the year 2015.

Anant Kittur is the director of projects in HCG. He is responsible for overseeing and initiating new projects of HCG and managing all business development initiatives.
Previously, he was the director (Imaging) of Wipro GE Healthcare for South Asia and has held several leadership positions at GE Healthcare from 2000 to 2015. He also worked at the Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited from 1998 to 2000.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is a B.Com from Bangalore University.
Pathmanaban S B
Designation: Sr Vice President, HCG
Pathmanaban S B has over 27 years of experience in pharma, diagnostics and healthcare industries.He is the head of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Region for HCG centers. Apart from this, he also heads the supply chain for the organisation which includes pharma and consumables.
He was the Chief Marketing Officer for SIMS Hospital based in Chennai prior joining to HCG.
Pathmanaban holds a master’s degree in Applied Psychology.

A global senior healthcare professional, Sudhir Bahl joined HCG Enterprises in June 2018 as CEO of Milann, India’s leading chain of fertility . Prateek Khare heads the innovation and entrepreneurship function at Swiss government’s office of education, research and innovation in India. John M. Collins, Ph.D.

John is the Chief Operating Officer of CIMIT, the Consortia for Improving Medicine with Innovation and Technology. Based at Mass General Hospital, CIMIT has grown over its 20-years to include 14 of the greater Boston area’s premier academic medical centers, universities, and labs along with an expanding network of US and international affiliates.
His focus is to advance CIMIT’s mission of improving patient care by facilitating collaboration among clinicians, researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs to accelerate the healthcare innovation cycle for novel products, services, and procedures. He has led CIMIT’s efforts to codify its methodology through its CoLab and GAITS web platforms as well as its CRAASH program which has allowed CIMIT to scale its impact beyond Boston.
Before CIMIT, John was president of TIAX, a technology development company that was spun out of the international consulting firm Arthur D Little, Inc., where he was Senior Vice Present responsible for its Technology & Innovation business and before that its business across Asia Pacific. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a frequent speaker and holds over 20 US patents.
